I have a 77 L82, close ratio 4sp, 3.70 good shape 77k on it.

Headlights work, high beams work
Turn signals work
Brake lights work
emerg lights work
rev lights work
dome
inter/dash lights work

fuses look ok, hard to tell upside down.

BUT I pull the headlight switch only headlights go on... no markers or running lights. but since they work when I manually use them (activate turn signal, put in rev, brake) they work, so the fuse and bulbs are good.

Is it the switch? and if so it doesn’t seem easy to get to. any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Does it do anything when you pull out to the first detent and rotate the knob back and forth?? Sometimes ther rheostat's get dirty or short.
Obviously you don't have power to the running lights with the switch out so it sounds like you need to pull the dash back a bit and get to the switch itself. You are gonna have electrical hookups and vacuum hookups. If you can, you can remove the switch and check it out of th car with an ohmeter, just make sure you mark where lines go....

Best bet is the switch, I believe on my 68 I pulled it, took it apart and cleaned it up and she worked fine.

Good luck, let us know what ya find.
