Electrical gremlin--HELP!!!

Hi all.
First, my automatic electronic climate control is not being very automatic. The setting is STUCK at 90 *$#@&* degrees!!!! There's no flashing green light that indicates there's a problem with coolant level or electrical problem with A/C. No codes. Owner's manual says in order to reset the system--pull the radio and courtesy lights fuses for one minute. Put fuses back, start Vette and system should be reset. Well, it's not. I go to replace the 20A fuse (left hand courtesy lights fuse) and now I'm getting this continuous low pitch buzzing. Every light in the car will come on (with fuse in place)20A, the antenna goes up, the radio comes on, the alarm system works and yet, there's this buzzin that won't quit. Oh, and the comfort system is stuck at 90 degrees.
What is that BUZZING!!!!! Is something shorted out?
The only thing done to the car as of yesterday was something to do with a screwed up passenger window. A piece had broken off a guide and the window was out of alignment. Got that fixed now this. Any ideas?!!!! Thanks.

I hope this helps bring this back to someone's attention who knows about the climate controlled a/c Vee, someone will answer eventually. ;)

Climate control specialists - speak up! :CAC

Well I am not a specialist but ,i can give my experence. With out haveing my book handy i have found the control unit has it`s share of problems .that is the unit that plugs in behind the buttons on the dash ,picked one up on e-bay for 100.Could also be any of the temp sensors that tell unit what to do.Very time consuming.i lucked out and fixed most of my problems with controler. Anybody eles?

Thanks Ken, Bill.
The climate control corrected itself. Earlier I'd pulled all the OTHER fuses since the 20A was already out and put them back in (except the 20A). Switched the Vette on and whattaya know, the climate control is back on track. Maybe the unit is on the way out, I don't know.

However..... I take the car for a spin and there it is--- SYS flashing on the display.

Back home, I take out the appropriate fuses to reset the climate control just to be sure--wait then put them back in. Climate control is still working. I put the 20A fuse in and no buzzzzzzzzzzzz.

THEN!!!!...., I walk away from the car, the security system activates and the 20A fuse has to be pulled because of the buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. So. Before I pull the 20A fuse again, I check everything inside the car. I ended up moving the dimmer switch to on and the buzzing stops but now the interior lights are on continuously. Moved the dimmer switch back to off and there goes the buzzzzing again. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!! So I've pulled the 20a fuse out to prevent battery drainage.
I even called Gordon Killebrew who told me I had to have a fuse out somewhere. I checked 40-some fuses and all have spark. I even checked the Maxi fuses. All good. Gordon told me how to reset the SYS after checking stored codes with a PAPER CLIP, which I'm afraid to do---I just am. So it's a dreaded trip to the dealer tomorrow.

Crazy electrics

Search for Sys indicator, climate control and battery using the "Search" tab above. There have been a lot of threads on this. Usually the connector on the temp control head or the battery were at fault.
I had an intermitten sys indication and it was an old battery and its connections.
Good luck.

Vee93,
I think everyones A/C unit is spuratic at one time or another. I had some of those strange things happen to me out of the blue one day (buzzing and what not). The Vette started and ran fine but everything was acting crazy. Turned out that my battery was on its last leg. Replaced it and all was well.
