Electrical Problem

I have an electrical problem on my 79 Vette.
The interior lights are staying on at dim level.
After about about 15 secounds they should turn off but instead of turning off they dim down to about half thier usual level.
Do any of you think you could give me an idea on how to find the problem?

Sounds like a bad timer on the delay. Have you checked the light switch to ensure the interior lights are not turned on?
