I'm importing a Z16 into the UK and as part of the process I have swap over to euro rear lights, add side light repeaters, a rear fog lamp and disconnect the daylight running lights.
I have been told by a GM garage that these changes will upset the computer because "the additional resistance caused by the changes will cause a fault code".
I find that hard to believe as "European" vettes have these extra lights as a factory standard and I would have thought that GM would use the same computer settings for Euro and US vehicles.
Presumably I'm going to need to disconnect the battery to do the work. Does anyone know if I'll have a problem when I reconnect?
Also will I have have to reset the radio security codes?
I would appreciate some help with this. :)

HI there,
It is really not as bad as some may think.
Euro specifications are attainable, once the fuse blocks and relays are set up. Then, the program of the BCM to accept this change will be done.
I will have to research the wiring, but will repost when I have solid information.
