I have a 81 yellow with black int.corvette.I know they stopped the stingray emblems on the front fenders in1976,but I am thinking of putting them on my car.Do you others out there think it would be out of place?

I think the fenders look a little bare without anything. I think the stingray emblems would look cool. I've seen some people put on later crossed flags too. Its your car, do what you like.

I saw a white 80-82 body style today on the way home from work today and it had an L-88 emblem on the fender. He was either really proud or just decorating his fenders. My hope is to believe that he really had the horses. I have an '81 and just seeing something there on the fender turned my head. The L-88 made me stare. My feeling is, if you're going to put something out there, keep it honest. Honoring the older sharks is OK with me. I love the crossed flags. I look at it as just trying to emulate your older brother.

. But to each his own.

Yes it does look good, I have been thinking of doing either the same or cross flags on mine.

I'm running a 4 inch cowl inducted hood so sky's the limit with me.
