failed inspection today cause of E-brake.How do i adjust it,then i'll go the checking the shoes.

Ha that brings back memories! When I bought mine and registered it they did an quick inspection at DMV since we didnt have yearly safety inspections in CT. It was the owner in the car as an inspector checked lights were working...and parking brake. I almost ran the inspector over! ;LOL I'll bet thats the LAST time he had people test the brake right after the front lights/turn signals! :rotfl

Its pretty much the same as http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showthread.php?p=880067

How bad is E brake? Does it sorta hold or is it extremely loose?

From what I remember on an 84...

To adjust: Its just a common "star" adjuster on the rear drivers wheel---provided its not another component that failed.
Are Both rear wheels holding holding or just one side? There is a cable that runs from drivers side to passenger side. Once drivers side is holding the cable adjuster can be tightened to balance tension on the passenger wheel.

No doubt someone who did this more recently can chime in as well.

Of course buy a Factory service manual ASAP...of course if it werent 11:30pm I'd schlep out to the garage and get MY manual
