I just got in from installing a new exhaust system and a Bigmouth air dam. I was using ramps and jacks, I put the emergency brake on and now it is stuck on. What is the best way to release it??????

Try pulling up 1 notch, while pressing button, and foot on pedal.

Those are the brakes

I guess I should have read my Haynes manual before I asked. It was the E lever in the car that was stuck. A little liquid wrench and a screwdriver and it was freed up !!!!

FWIW - easier on the equipment

After having a tooth or two (under the EB handle) fail rather early in my ownership experience, I ALWAYS hold the button when I set and release the EB with the handle. I neither just pop the button and let things fly, on release, nor just pull the handle up, which drags the ratchet mechanism, when setting the brake.

I was able to restore the notch's grip by minor filing on the ratchet.

I have the problem with my handbrake the signal light in the control center won't go out

I tried several times and hear the brakes grab and loosen but the light stays.

anyone ??

In my case, a return spring was broken and the handle wasn't getting pulled close enough to the switch to turn off the light. You may have to simply bend the switch mount so that the handle contacts the switch when the break is released.

or the wire has disconnected from the switch
