The word is that this area is going to be testing for emissions, does anybody know where to buy a scan tool to check the emissions of my car before i have it done.

Our 86's do not have that capability to be computer tested. Your gonna get the low idle/high idle, sniffer in the tailpipe test. Make sure the car is good and hot, over 220 if you can get it there. Fresh tune up including plugs. Let it run while you are in line and keep the hood closed.

I pass the high idle here in Nevada no problem. In order to pass the low idle (600-1200 rpm) portion the tech had to keep the 'low' idle at 1000 rpm. It would fail at 600 rpm.
