I have a 77 350 L-48 with a Holley 4165 spread-bore carb. It also has a MSD 5 ignition system. When I take a hard RIGHT turn, the engine shuts-off. Not on left turns. Complete flame-out. Gen light comes on and the motor stops. It was happening before the MSD unit was installed and I do not smell excessive gas from flooding. I believe it might be the carb floats. I have checked the front small (primary) float adjustment and I have it set correctly. Can the rear float, (secondary) be mis-adjusted and causing this problem. No back firing or flooding in normal operation. If it helps, weather temperature seems to not be a factor.
