After cleaning out the throttle body boars with cleaner the engine idle was high. 1000-1200. I followed the procedure to lower the idle by way of the minimum idle screw..(IA C) disconnected. I had to turn the screw all the way down to get the engine to idle at 500. Is this right? It idled fine before the cleanout.

I used STP throttle body cleaner. I didnot remove the throtle body just sprayed it into it through the throttle plates and wiped it down. I used the typical ways to set the minimum idle and TPS as seen in many forums. Ground the ALDL, wait 30 sec.,remove the IAC connecter, remove ground, start car with IAC disconedted, set minimum idle, reconnect IAC, then set TPS to .54 volts.

You need to pull out the IAC and clean it as well. I do not think you can completly clean the TB with in the car.;shrug
