I brought a Hypertech EPROM a while ago as i run on a Hypertech termostat which is cooler than the original. The problem is that the instruction which came with it sounds as it is to be put in together with the original EPROM. Is that a fact or is it me reading it wrong. I always beleaved that a new PROM replace the old and that the oriinal PROM is to be removed and the new one to take its place. Anyone who can put me right in this matter?

Thanks and best regards,
Steve

Some tuners utilize what is called a piggyback chip such as shown here, this is the setup I'm running on my 93 and it sounds like what you have.

madtuner.com - 92-93 LT1

Mine looks like the original one. I might have the wrong instruction sheet? Hypertech (Ecklers i brought it from) never said anything about piggyback.
