I get an exhaust noise that sounds like metal on metal contact when I decelerate. I think I have narrowed it down to the vacuum operated valve on the passenger exhaust manifold. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, what can be done? I am assuming that this is some kind of heat riser valve. Thanks for the help. I have an L82 engine.

GM makes a heat valve spray lubricant,I can't recall the part# but I can get it tomorrow and post here for you. Perhaps a shot or two may quiet down that 'sticky' heat riser.
