Ok where i live there is not much 2 say the least so i took my almost stock 1991 l98 to the local muffler shop. told the man i wanted dual exhaust with 50 series flowmasters he then said 50s would not fit only 40s which i have learned otherwise reading here. ok now u cannot even hear yourself think inside the car at hwy speed also he removed the convertors which would be fine but he musta put the bung in the wrong spot i dunno but the service engine soon light now comes on sometimes also seems now at higher speeds like say flooring it at 80mph it seems as if it now i dunno runs out breath didnt do it before. the only thing i like about the whole deal is the sound "outside the car" when i excellerate help please what should i do now besides stop the payment on the check and find another muffler shop will resonators fix my problems maybe h pipe i dunno ima newbie this is my 1st vette

Welcome to :CAC :w

If you stop payment on the check, that is considered theft of services.

I'm not familiar with the Flowmasters, but both X and H pipes can reduce the resonance. I'd start there. I got a nice X pipe off E-bay. Do a search on x-pipe, here or on ebay. Can't find the link right now, but here's what it looks like.

Pull the codes from the vehicle and see what the issue is. It could be something unrelated to the exhaust system and the light came on after you had the exhaust done.

As for stopping payment on the check, I don't know what to say to that. Every state is different.

Have you gone back and tried to talk to him?

Ok i feel better now yes i went and talked to him this morning he said we would try some resinators 1st and i told him i also wanted an H pipe the stop payment was kinda a joke i wouldnt do that i was just done n out when i made the post but he said we would get it sounding however i wanted it to. thats just good business! as 4 the o2 sensor i have come to the conclusion that maybe i need a one of those heated ones because seems as if it only goes off like hwy driving n more on these cool nights but still havent figured out why at higher speeds seems to feel as it is running out of breath wonder if i have to much free flow?

I'm running 40s with a 3" system all the way from my headers, and I know what you mean when you say loud. Sometimes I wonder why my ears don't bleed. :L

As for the engine running out of breath, you still had an L-98 which wasn't a very good breather in stock form; they do run out of wind at around 4500-4800 rpm. When you added the freer-flowing and less restrictive exhaust system you opened the breathing capacity a lot more, and the engine will wind to maximum rpm quicker, but it won't give you any more rpm. You'll have to get inside the engine to achieve those results, i.e., head work, cam, throttle body, etc..

Finally Fixxed

Ok the resinators and an H pipe solved the problem still sounds good but boy i was starting to get to like that race car sound thanks for everyones help
