Flashing digital display !!!

I took my vette to a garage for body repairs and the display was working fine, I collected it and it is now flashing like a Xmas tree. They admitted they let the battery die. I have my suspicions as to the reason for this malfunction but please give me your opinions as to what could have caused this?

Check This

Check the ground wire and Positive wire on the battery to be sure that they are tight and making good contact.

Make sure that the gound wires are all reconnected to the body. You do not say what kind of body work you had done. I f the car was in an accident and they worked on the front they could have removed the ground wires up by the headlight and failed to put them back or get them tight enough to make a good ground.
