Thanks. Sometimes it's good to take your time. Knowing that once it was done, there'd be no turning back (and carbon fiber isn't cheap), I took 6 months before finally deciding to do it.

One thing I gotta figure out is how to get the existing LED on my TEC3 out in front, to the panel where I have the datalog switch and its LED mounted - in the center panel where the radio used to be.

I want to be able to see the LED flashing when I start it; it gives me a secure feeling knowing that the cranking isn't in vain. If the light isn't flashing while you're cranking the engine, it means that you aren't getting a crank trigger signal. The light is red with key-on, flashing while cranking, and green while running. I gotta see it.

How big is the LED? Looking at the pictures you posted, couldn't you fabricate a panel to mount the LED in, maybe centered in a bowtie or C4 emblem -- just an idea.

Oh, it ain't no big deal, I just gotta get into the box and tie-into the existing LED wiring. Mounting location ain't a problem, except for my soldering skills.

for my 2 cents worth, i'm thinking a thinner bread box (not so deep/thick), and can flip up or down to get access behind it. The breadbox looks good, but its just to damn thick!! I still have mine (original) and its in excellent shape. Took it out so I could figure out how to do this. I think it would be a cool look, and then add a small custom-made "glovebox" in behind it. Then again, with the dash mods you have, maybe a nice flat metal panel with an opening door. Just like a real glove box!! :L

I've kept my bread-box due to keeping my Callaway "original in everyway".
I'm not a real fan though. I Love what you have done with the gauge dash, center panel etc. Definitely keep the aluminum panel flow, and I love the C4 emblem idea to break it up-ala vintage stingray placement! Very cool, Do it!

I opted for fake wood as the real thing does not do too well in cars.

Each day, I would more and more like storage 'over there', especially for a small hard drive to feed mp3s to the stereo.. I am now considering cutting the panel and hinging it, but don't think the replacement panel likes to be sliced.

Maybe a weird idea, but you could put a lcd screen there if you have a radio with dvd function. Just a thought...
