Flat Spring

Hello all,



Anyone ever had to have a flat spring replaced on their vette. The flat spring is a flat piece of fiber glass that goes across the front suspenion. I was getting an oil change and the guys told me this piece was cracked. With it being cracked the car is lower in the front & to be honest I like that low mean look. I've had this car for a 1 1/2 yrs, first time I've heard of this. I did see the piece and the crack runs almost the entire length of the spring. What are the dangers if this piece completely breaking?

Danger, danger - yes it will complete break one day.

If the spring is actually cracked or splitting, the spring will finally give up and your nose will be on the ground and that would not be a good thing.

Time on consult your favorite dealer or Corvette shop for a new spring.
