Flex Fan Diameter and spacer size?

Doesn't the flex fan provide better air flow since it is a one piece system? I thought there would be slippage with a clutch type fan. What makes the clutch fan better?

It won't grenade and send a fan blade thru the hood. Ask me how I know this.

What is a chin spiler?

Ooops, still learning to spell. I meant 'chin spoiler'. The stock units are anywhere from 1-3" high depending on year and options and run full width across the bottom of the nose behind the fresh air openings.

The previous owner of my '73 found out the hard way what happens on the highway without one.

Yep, I am missing all of the fan shroud and hood seals. Ordered a kit from Ecklers. Anyone have any suggestions on a new water pump?

Stock GM is fine. Stewart is also very good.
