I just bought some 50 series flomasters. It looks like they just bolt to the existing pipes. That sound stoo easy, can someone tell me if they NEED to be welded, or are they as simple as they appear?? Thanks.....

I don't think they NEED to be welded, but it might not be a bad idea. Sometimes if the pipes aren't welded they will tend to go a little off balance in time from all the bumps, throwing off the appearance of the exhaust tips. Even a tack weld will do.

I just installed my 50's last friday night....yes, it is super easy.
no, no welding is needed. The original muffs on my car were not welded either....have fun...enjoy!

Just put mine on last night. It took 15 mins per side, I used a floor jack on the first one to lightly position the muffler so it was square with the cutout in the bumper. Once it is tight on the clamp and the rear mounting stud, it should keep the Y-pipe in place, the second one went right on and lined up without any help from the jack.

They sound sweet, I haven't taken it out on the road yet, just started in the garage, can't wait.
