All,
I've hit a small snag in my interior restoration project. In the gauge area if the center console, there are two small pieces of foam that the light funnels for the CHECK ENGINE and BELTS displays sits on. It appears to be 1/8" thick with a paper backing. Mine are deteriorated beyond belief and need to be replaced. I suppose they were used to help prevent "light leaks" or even BSR (buzz, squeaks & rattles) issues.
Having checked the normal Corvette part suppliers (Ecklers, Art's, Mid America, Davies, etc.) I have come up bone dry.
These foam parts would be easy to duplicate if I could find the material but, that's my problem. Has anyone run into this problem before and if so, how did you resolve it?:confused
Any help at all would be appreaciated.
Eric
