The strangest thing happened today about an hour after getting a "hand wash" at my favorite car wash.
It was an OMG moment....

After a long pleasure cruise, I was slowing down for a stop sign & within about 30 seconds all windows were fogged big time. Putting on both defrosters cleared it quickly - but the 1st thing that popped into my head was "failed heater core at <10k on the clock ?"
There was no AF smell however....

I always drive w/windows up & A/C, because of allergies & constantly adjust climate system to be comfortable.

I checked under the hood, inside the car & under it and found no liquids. When I garaged the car a few minutes later - I double checked.
And no unusual smells of any kind anywhere.

Can anyone shed any light on this
Twilight Zone happening......?

Do I get some sort of trophy if this is a Corvette First

What were the outside temperatures like at the time?

I've found that if it's under about 35 degrees outside, given how small the interior of the Corvette is, it doesn't take long for your breath to fog up the windows. The effect is accellerated if you have a passenger in the car, too.

PS: I merged your two threads on the subject. If you'd rather have this in the C6 Technical & Performance Forum, let me know and I can move it there.

Thanks for replying, Patrick - I posted in each area to get more exposure. I'm in NY - Temp.was around 40. I've experienced the breath issue, not that - I was alone - unless there was an asthmatic dragon hiding in the car.
This happened so fast it freaked me out - I was glad I was stopped & a few hundred feet from home.

I have had this happen too, I believe it has to do with changing the temp of the windows and the car due to the difference in the temp of the water. I have no proof of this but I have observed it several times here in Colorado where I drive my car year round and I have to wash it sometimes in very cool weather, humidity may also be a factor, but I believe there is nothing to worry about unless there is wet carpet somewhere.
God Bless
Steve
