Foggy windshield for no reason while driving with AC on.

While riding in the car, I sometimes notice my windshield has a slight fog forming on the inside lower middle of the glass.

I assumed the heating core is steaming up the glass or maybe I have the AC in the wrong mode which causes this problem.
My carpet is not wet which should indicate heater core problems. What can cause the window to fog up on a normal hot day (80 to 90 degC)
Also how can I resolve the maybe problem?:confused

Fogging glass

If your heater core is not leaking than the only other thing that could cause it, is your A.C.
What is happening is your window is getting cold and water
is condensing on it .if you measured the temp. of the window , you could tell us the dew point and the relative humidity.

Fogging

Check and make sure that the defrost/ defogger vents are closed.

I see you live in GA - is the fog on the inside or outside of the glass?

It's possible that the defroster duct is not completely closing off and some of the cold air is chilling the windshield. Then the moist moist air outside the car is condensing on the outside of the windshield. If so, you might need to check the valves that control all that.

Just my 2 cents.

I had the same problem the other day. It turned out to be that I had the defroster on. Switched to bi-level and all was well.
