ZURICH – Starting today, performance car fans in Germany, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands might spot the brand-new Corvette Stingray on the road, as Chevrolet's technical experts put two pilot vehicles through their paces over the next couple of months. They are the first to thoroughly test the new Stingray in Europe, which will arrive at European dealerships in late 2013. The tests will be conducted and documented by Patrick Herrmann, technical manager at Chevrolet Europe. He will be uploading his observations as well as images and videos on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, using the following hashtag: #C7experience. The testing procedures are part of the GM standard quality control program which is conducted for each new Chevrolet model before it goes on sale in Europe.
"Corvette is a one of the famed names in automotive history and the new Stingray is the most advanced and capable standard model yet. Driving and testing this car is definitely one of the most interesting aspects of my job," said Patrick Herrmann, technical manager at Chevrolet Europe.
Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is the world's fourth largest car brand with annual sales of almost 5 million cars and trucks in more than 140 countries. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature spirited performance, expressive design, high quality and Chevrolet MyLink intelligent connectivity.
