discovered where the high idle is coming from. you could hear some major sucking while the motor was running thats when i started spraying the chemtool looking for the leak the reason it wasnt dected is cause it was the tb which had the breather tube connected. i pulled off the the breather tube and put my hand over the bores and it was such a powerful suck i couldnt even get my hand off, ( well sorta of ) anyhow i was able to regulate the idle with the amount of air i let thru with my fingers. keep in mind the butter flies are completely closed. the vacume was coming from the bottom hole in between the blades . as far as i can tell this is the air idle controll passage. so now what? how can i regulate the suck of the aic? when i get that done then back to the dyno and some pics i will try to post. getting closer. heres the run down on my motor. 383 stroker, 224/230 duration 503/510 lift cam, stock heads stiffer springs bronz guides 3 angle valve job, super ram intake ( intake, runners, pleneum). 58mm tb, 36# injectors, breathless ram air, msd 6A ignition, msd cap, rotor, 8.5mm wires, headman ceramic coated long tube headers , center force 2 duel friction clutch, gutted cat, borla out back, stock rear end and a bag of chips.
