1993 Convertible 1999 FRC Pewter sold
Does anybody know if Z51 option was on all FRC cars. Specifically 2000?
I was given a list from the RPO Code sheet and no Z51, was this a transcription error or were there FRC cars without the code and option?
thanks

I believe all 1999 and 2000 FRCs came with the Z51, but I may be incorrect on the 2000 MY.

FRC was 6-speed and Z51 standard for 1999 and 2000. They are fantastic cars though some don't take to the styling. I love it! :)

Well I found out that it was a $350. option on 2000 FRC, not all were ordered that way. Car does have the FE3 sport suspension option though.
Anybody know what that option is all about?

The FRC for both 1999 and for 2000 had the Z51 as standard equipment. Z51 was a $350 option for coupes and convertibles. Searching the web for the FE3 RPO showed it as the Z51 performance package. Odd that one RPO would reference another. My FRC has both FE3 and Z51 on the RPO sheet.

EDIT: Also, the F45 Real Time Dampening system was not available on the FRC so you can pretty much bet they only have Z51. ;)

Interesting! I have a copy of the RPO Codes and Z51 is not on it. It has the JL4,FE3 but no Z51

Still trying to figure this out.

I found a site called "Idaho Corvette Page" which lists options for 2000 it lists:
FE3 sports suspension, included with Z51 performance handling package . Later it lists Z51, includes FE3. (standard with Hardtop).
I wonder if it just is listed differently in the 2000 year cars.
Anybody have a 2000 FRC, able to check their RPO Code sheet? It would be appreciated.

The 99 RPO codes are listed the same way as for the 2000's on the site you referenced. Do you have a list of the codes from the RPO sheet in the glove box of the car you are looking at? This is where you want to check the codes.

Yes I checked the RPO sheet no listing for Z51 but FE3 listed. I just wonder if in 2000 they changed how they list it another words FE3 includes Z51???

The one person I knew from this site that had a 2000 FRC no long has the car due to an unfortunate accident. Will see what else I can dig up.

Gee Guy, how do you drive around in that ugly car? ;)

I'll go out and take a look at my '00 FRC if you tell me where to find the RPO codes. I thought they were in the glove box but I don't see anything there...

Yes the codes are on a sticker in the Glovebox, or they are supposed to be.

If you are interested, the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green can provide you with original documents like the window sticker and build sheet, for a price. I am the 2nd owner of a 2000 hardtop and acquired these documents from them. C Ya, Joe.

I never did find the definitive answer to this, but I believe it was simply a change in the printing of the RPO Sheets. From every site I could find , both the '99 and '00 have both Z51 and FE3.
I ended up with a '99 FRC, love it. Now I gotta sell my '86 Z51 Coupe. I hate to get rid of it, it's a great car. Wish I still had my '68 Coupe and '69 Vert.
Too many Toys.
Thanks for everyones help on this.

To beat a dead horse, looked at my build sheet tonight. It lists installed equipment: "FE3 H/D Susp" and "Z51 Sport Pkg". Nothing specific on window sticker. Found out I also have "Power HEATED Outside Mirrors"!

Barrier, congratulations on the 99FRC. And I must say your color selction was spot on. :) Enjoy it, it's a fantastic car.
