Front Lisense plate mount

I have to put the front plate on my car (As much as I hate it) but the mount is black plastic. I assume it has to be painted body color? Can anyone tell me if they did it themselves and if so how. If I take it to a dealer any idea what it will cost?

I bought the contoured clear plastic cover instead and attached the plate with double face tape velcro. - C.

I have ordered, but not yet received, a front and rear license plate 'mount' (trim piece) that comes painted in any Corvette color from Kewl Auto. I believe the cost for both pieces was $105.00. I ordered them over 2 weeks ago, but I think they said to expect 3 weeks for delivery. Take a look at the KEWL website under the EXTERIOR products section.

Yes, I'll let you know and will attempt to post digital pics on this thread. I probably will only do a mock-up on my car because I just ordered custom NYS plates today and do not want to put the dealer issued plate on the front of my car. I will also load pics when my custom plate arrives in about 3 weeks.
