Frozen Radio

I can't get my Delco-Bose radio to tune. It's as if the radio is frozen. The power comes on and the antenna goes up but it's stuck at FM 92.1. The tuner dial turns but the display doesn't move, even the presets, seek and AM/FM selector have no affect.

Is there something I'm missing or am I in need of a new radio.

The cassette does work properly.

Sounds like its time to update. I replaced mine with a really nice Alpine and a Bose interface wire harness. Sounds great and was well worth it.

Maybe you're right. I would love to have the original radio/cassette in the car. I was pricing out rebuild services and they aren't cheep and the price doesn't include any parts that need to be replaced (of course).

That is why I had mine changed out. The cost to fix the head unit was pricey. And the fact it did not play cd's,mp3's,ect. Now the new set up does a lot more, including XM. It has way more power, and tone control. It also remote controled so I dont have to look down. I did keep the old unit though. So look around for a Good unit that you would be satisfied with. I am now thinking about upgrading the speakers now.
