FS: 99 silver convertible w/HUD ***sold***

Nothing much to say about this car except that it is in as perfect condition as any 1999 can be. Absoulutely an awesome car. I just don't have time to enjoy it and am always worried that something is going to happen to it. It has 53000 miles on it which I think is low for the year. The steering wheel column lock problem was fixed in the recall and I think all other bugs for this year model have been ironed out. The only problem I occasionally have with it is the check engine light problem that relates to the crazy fuel gauge problem that this year model is plagued with. It only happens very few and far between though. It also has Y2K rims with the air sensors installed. The tires have probably have the life left. They are not run flats. Eveything is stock except some of the eye candy modifications that I have done which are minor. Here is a link to some high res pictures. 26,000.00 firm.

This car is really in excellent condition. Even has very few minor road blemishes in the front spoiler. The people that had it before me took care of it and I especially did. Garage kept under a cover. I paid 27000 for it last year and have spent 1000.00 on the new seat covers (converted the standard seats to sport seats) and another 1500.00 on the Y2k wheels, exhaust tips and other goodies. I even have the build sheet and window sticker, 2 keys, one key fob, and owners manual. email with any other questions or post here. my email should be listed in my profile. I live in Hampstead, NC, which is on the coast between Wilmington, and Jacksonville.
The car also has HUD.

I have dropped the price to $25,000.00. That should be the going rate. Very firm at this price. Thanks for looking.

I just noticed that some of my pictures were not uploaded, so I just uploaded a few more. enjoy

Since you've owned the car, what have you had to have done in relation to the check engine light, if anything.

Also, is this a non-smoker's car?

There has been nothing done because of the check engine light. The codes that were reported were the usual fuel gauge problem that most all early c5's were plauged with. You can do a search on some of my posts throughout the last year that will verify the problems that I had and the answers that people of knowledge here gave me. There have been no mods to the car. It is 100% stock, unless you consider a open faced air box lid a mod. Ha, Ha. The car has never been smoked in since I had it and it appeared to have not been smoked in before me. The car really is wonderful. I am sure that I will want another one later and may not get lucky enough to find another one in as good a shape as this one is in.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the reply. The car really looks to be in great condition. If we wanted to look at it, will you be in town on Saturday, July 3?

Jamie,

I'm probably not looking at this objectively, given what I drive, but hang on to your silver vert. Heck I don't have much time to drive mine either - it only has 12k on it. But the nice thing is - it's there when you finally "do" get some time.

Remo:cool

Remo,

You are absoulety right. I hope I sell this car fast before I change my mind. I am sure I will get another one some day. One of the most enjoyable things about the car was the "thrill of the hunt". I had a lot of fun looking for one. Maybe in a few months or years I will get another one. The C6's really look good. I just hope that if I get another used one, that I get as lucky as I was with the one I have. Besides the fuel gauge problem, the only thing that has had to be changed on the car was the passenger side head light motor that is also another typical C5 gremlin. I had the factory recall done on the steering wheel lock so that was never a problem either.

Jamie

RayJ,

email sent. no lein. I have the title. I will be home saturday, or close by.

:cry :cry :cry

my c5 is gone. RayJ bought it. He and his wife seem like really good people so I am sure it is going to a good home. They drove from Texas to my house on the east coast of NC this afternoon to pick it up. What do I do now with no corvette? will someone donate one to me??:)

Congrats , knew it would sell!
Now, what to do with that pile of $$$. hahahaha
