I have a 1992 Corvette Coupe with a 6 speed transmission. my after parking it for the winter, i re-connected the battery and the car started right up as usual. now i find my fuel gauge reads RESERVE and the tank is right full. i have heard that the sending unit can build up with resistance (105 ohms) and sends an electrical fault to the cluster which send the gas gauge to EMPTY. has anyone had this problem with their gas gauge and what have they done to remedy it? most time i drive around for 2 - 10 minutes and then it starts working again. i was told you can solder a resistor in to fix this. if there is anyone out there that can help, i will leave you a little something in my will :L
