fuel injector noise

I hear a ticking sound coming from the engine while driving my 2000 coupe, I thought it was a lifter noise but now think it could be the injectors? this is a very faint noise.

Yes, injector noise is a common noise, plus there is really no hood insulation around the firewall.
I would not be concerned.

My Vette has the faint clicking also but only when the engine is warm and has been sitting for 10 mins or more. Afew blips of the throttle and the sound is gone.

Noisy Injector

Cirrus8, My 88 does exactly what you discribed. I thought a lifter at first, but it is an injector.
