Fuel Injector Question

I know this is a stretch, but I'm gonna throw it out anyway.

Can anyone tell me if injectors from an LS1 (2000 I think) will fit/work in an 85 L98? If they will fit, will any modifications need to be made?

The guy who did the engine on my 85 put injectors from some year IROC. I'm assuming a year that had the LT1. I'll find out and let you know. He put a bigger cam in the car so he said this was needed. And I had to get a chip specific for the cam and injectors.
