fuel level signal 92-96 C4

I would like to know if anyone has a problem with the fuel level signal to the CCM. The part that went bad is not the CCM,it was the tank unit part #25027510. I have called some of the biggest corvette dealers service deptments and nobody seems to be having a problem. The part lists for $506.00 and the only thing wrong is the little plastic and metal potentiometer. I have called some fuel sending unit repair shops in Hemmings but they mostly do older fix's again nobody has seem or heard of this part on C4 corvettes going bad if I could only find out the vendor and maybe give them a call and try to get this small part it would save me a lot of money and aggravation. Need to know if anyone has had this problem with their 92-96 corvette.
