OK well maybe not THAT bad . . .
Last year I had some issues with my battery going dead. I pulled fuses and checked for amp draws. My fuel pump circuit was drawing ~2.5 Amps. I checked the circuit and the wires had gotten hot and the casings 'shrunk back' causing wires to touch each other. The resolution was heat shrink and a new relay (although the relay looked good), but what would be the root cause? No draw with key off anymore, but I am concerned - maybe high amp draw at the pump?
