Does anyone know the range of the fuel sending unit in a 1982?

Example.......Empty __ohms............Full __ohms

The FSM should tell you,

Going off the top of my head,so don't take it as fact, 90 ohms.

If it's in the book I can't find it.

And 90 ohms if correct would only be part of the answer.

I believe Corvettes use the same type of sending units as most GM vehicles. According to this source, 1965 and newer GM cars use a 0 (zero=empty) to 90 (ninety=full) ohm sending unit.

Thanks Bob,

I will use those numbers to see if I can tell why my low fuel lamp is not

coming on with about 2 gallons in tank.

Much easier than pulling sending unit out of tank
