Fuel Sensor Needed

My mechanic has had our 1981 Corvette for about 3 month and has done extensive work on it. It is ready to roll except he says he is having a hard time finding 2 parts. One is a breather cover and the other is a fuel sensor. Does anyone know, are these parts that hard to find?? He has done about $3500 worth work on the car and this just seems strange to me. Any input will me ease my mind. Thanks!!

The breather cover I have seen on ebay many times. As far as the fuel sensor??? Is he referring to the fuel pick-up that goes in the tank? If so I have one of those that I bought for mine but did not use as I was able to clean mine up and get it to work.
