I just got a generator light and horn while driving home last night. I had the generator checked and the battery is also good. Autozone suggested that I check the fuseable link. Does anyone know where the fuseable link is on a 1979???
Thanks in advance!!

there are two obvious ones, and they are both connected to the hot lead (positive battery post) on the starter solenoid. you wouldn't have power to headlights and guages if one of them was blown as one goes directly to the headlight switch and provides unswitched power to the lights, the other goes to the ignition circuit (if memory serves me correctly). i'm certain there is one other, but i can't remember exactly where it is. if you have an owner's manual the info should be contained on the "lamps and fuses" pages. of course a wiring diagram would also be helpful.

Many thanks for the quick information. I will check the 2 areas mentioned tomorrow.
