Garage Lift

We're thinking about buying a car lift for our garage, to serve 2 purposes. One would be for working on the car, and the second is for storing a car on top of a car. One issue we have is the ceiling height - 8.5 feet.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I too am looking for a lift. I've done a little research and have a web site for you to check out, not sure if you've checked any web sites out yet, but thought I would send it anyway.
www.eagleequip.com. I have a couple more but can't seem to find them right now. I think one was called backyardbuddy.com but not sure. If I can find them, I will send them to you.
