Gas guage says reserve?

I have 94 corvette I just purchased. The gas guage little marks do not show up. And reserve stays on. What could this be? Fuse? And my check engine light is on, could this be why? One more thing when I start it and drive for a little while I have no icons thingy's on the screen above the radio, but when I get on the freeway the icon light with the engine comes on. Any suggestions? Thanks

Well assuming you have gas in the tank. The reserve light is a "Low Fuel" light. The motor on the Driver information center means you have some sort of failure maybe emissions related. The best thing to do is to take it to a Dealer or a qualified service person that has a GM OBD computer reader to see whats wrong.

If you plan on working on your vette get a GM service manual from www.helminc.com . Your problem could be a bad CCM, ECM or
sending unit in the tank, just to name a few. The manual will help
you troubleshoot the problem.
