Hello
I want to remove(and reinstall) the needles carefully from the gauges, but I am afraid of bending them
Anyone know the proper way of doing this?
thanks
Tom

Clean your shop area of any crap on the bench or on the floor because the pointer may fly a LONG way.

Secure the gauge face as best you can on the bench. Take two long, thin screw drivers and place then 180* apart, flats laying under the pointer hub. Place a shop towel over the pointer/screw driver gamisch. Push down quickly (not necessarily hard) and simultaneously on both screw drivers. The cloth will catch the needle (most of the time).

I've done dozens of gauges from speedos/techs down to the smaller sizes with not one bent needle or shaft.

If you need to re-do the needles, the paint is a latex Koh-i-Noor Rocket Red.
