The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green received the largest gift in its history – a $1.3 million donation from a Wisconsin couple. The donation furthers the museum’s planned $14 million, 50,200-square-foot expansion, slated for completion in summer 2009, according to Director Wendell Strode.Ivan and Mary Shrodt, 60 and 61, of Sherwood, Wis., said they were looking for worthy targets for their estate when they die because they don’t have children. They settled on the museum because of the affection they have for Corvettes and fellow aficionados. They’ve also set aside money for relatives and the Rawhide Boys Ranch in Wisconsin to help troubled youths.(more)

Very nice! From all the folks who have gone to the museum and those that plan to, I thank you.
