When I put the corvette away this winter, is it best to leave some room in the tank, or fill up before storage ? :W

Couldn't find anything doing a search

Toss a bottle of Techron Plus in it and fill it up!!:thumb:thumb:thumb

I'm with Junkie on this. Filling it up reduces the chances of condensation forming in the tank and rusting things.

I'm not so much concerned about condensation rusting things as I am about air in the tanks!! Less Air,Less Fuel deterioration!!:thumb:thumb:thumb
The tanks and lines are plastic and most fittings and other things are stainless steel!!:thumb

Be more concerned about rust and corrosion.

A fresh, full tank of fuel will stay stable for the 2-3 months of a PA winter. Everyone will tell you to buy fuel stabilizer but, for 2-3 mo., it's a waste of money. Now, if you were going to store for a year, then, yes, fuel stabilizer or...the addition of fresh gas, to mix with the old gas, before the first start-up would be wise.

I really enjoyed your two part article on Fuel, But I was wondering about something my Chevy master tech told me about fuel here in PA Hib, he said to use almost anything other than Sunoco, he said that Sunoco containes too much sulfur in it. And that the sulfur eats away at the tiny metal parts in the injectors and fuel pump? What do ya think ?
