In the market
Well, I made the fatefull decision. Eye Candy is officially for sale. :cry

I've been pondering it for the last few months, and there is really no way I can afford to keep her. The cost of living (shcool, house, gas, insurance ect...) just keeps going up, and I havent had a pay raise in nearly 3 years (nice pay cut though :eyerole).

If anyone is interested in a nicely maintained Grand Sport, drop me a line.

Jason:cry

Jason,

What a shame!! I'm so sorry to hear that your beauty is for sale...hopefully, there will be another GS in your not too distant future!

Elaine

Jason,

Disregard the email I sent you. Sorry to see you have to sell her, but I understand why. No pay raise here in 3 years either. :(

Sorry to hear that Jason, keep your head up, things will change and you will get another Vette. I haven't had a pay raise in four years either. Hate it......It will get better, hang in there.....The Laman Said That....!!:TALK

I know this was difficult.

Sorry to hear that you will be selling your vette and I understand what a difficult decision it has been for you to make.
Good luck for a great price.
Heidi

I'm "red circled" myself meaning I am frozen at current pay rate. You may just have to step down a bit, stay in the club just a bit less exotic. For example (and in no way do I mean this to be comparitive) but buddy across the road is selling his 77 C3 for $3000.00 canadian, maybe what, $2000 or so US. It's not the best year and sort of a homely light maroon color but easily built up. Some times ya gotta do what ya gotta do...:CRASH

Wow, nice GS. Can I ask why such a high price? Is the Market value of C4's higher over there than my area here in Wash DC?

I dont think the market value is any higher on the Left Coast, than it is in D.C., but she is in very good condition. Especially when you consider she's got just over 87k miles on her.

Unfortunately, there have been several GS's for sale recently, and 25K is about average from what I've seen (I paid almost 30K for her 3 years ago). As I said earlier though, the price is negotiable.

Rest assured, there is another Corvette in my future. Probably a C6 as a graduation present to my self.:D But that's a few years down the road.

Jason

Well if that's the case then the C4's in general have really lost their value. Guess I can only get ten bucks for my CE LT4 then. Darn.

Jason.... say it ain't so? I sold a '67 once when I was in school and I've never gotten over that feeling. And needless to say I sure never could afford another one. I know you've researched all the options, but it's still a darm shame. But I understand your dilemma. Find her a good home and hang in there.

Best Regards............. Nut

Sorry to read about your Vette! Good luck to you; things always seem to turn out for the best.:beer

I know I'm going to regret selling her, pretty much forever. But as you said, I have researched all the options. My boss pretty much laughs at me when I ask for a raise. I've actually started looking for a new job, but with the way things are around here, I doubt one will pop up anytime soon.

Still looking for a good engineering tech Bob?:)

Jason,

Sorry to hear about Eye Candy but I can relate all too well as a certain 71 Classic White vert is for sale too:(. Guess you'll be able to call me 71Sharkless.

Not to worry buddy, we will both be back in glass someday.

As the others have said, sorry to hear this is the only way to go. I've always thought she was a beauty. I think it's safe to say there IS a vette in your very near future and I'm sure Eye Candy will find a good home.
Hang in there.

Depending upon how some things go this summer, I may get something in a much lower price bracket come fall but if I do that will mean selling another car as well. I'm in a wait and see mode for now.

:JGood News!!!:J

I was able to convince the bank that refinancing my GS would be a good idea. So in a nutshell, I get to keep her.:_rock I even got really good terms on the refinancing.:)
