I just went through Chicago's Chinatown the other day. Had me some good food. It was some rice that's like a soup, very good.:D

I don't make it there too often but when I do, I make sure to eat plenty of their good food.

Nothing but showing Aizan Pride! Keep eating that white rice my friend!

True! It was kind of like this big kid I went to high school with. He bought 2 boxes of low fat Twinkies. Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?:L
======================================================
All vehicles have some problems from time, so you just get them resolved...thats a rediculous reason to give up a Corvette...too bad you gave up the greatest American sports car ...Hope you find your ford enjoyable...just rember this...FORD stands for ...."Fix Or Repair Daily"...and..."Found On Road Dead";LOL Take care and Hasta la vista.........buh bye...;LOL
Sometimes people are looking for a bit of perfection in what they drive, and fixing little annoying problems continuously takes the joy out of the ownership.

Our 50th AE is on the second transmission and second clutch, and it only has 11,000 miles and very little romping on it. It's the weekend cruiser with 2 track visits with no powershifting. The clutch just gave out, and when they finished replacing everything including the transmission because 2nd dissapeared, and after they rebuilt it, it stopped working after just 1k miles.... It still grinds to this day, and we have to take it back ASAP. They also managed to crack the fiberglass on the fender when they put it up on the lift... Those things add up over time...

Whatever tops his cookie is for him. No need to shun him for it.

I would've asked for a new car!:L

I know how you feel. I had an 86 Toyota Pickup that cost me several thousand dollars in repair over the few years I had it. It was a first year for the turbo 4 engine. I will never buy a first year car again becuase of it. I usually keep my cars for ever. I still have a 93 K1500 Chevy pickup that is a great reliable truck. I wouldn't give it up for anything newer. Seeing that Toyota leave my driveway was a great day...Why don't you try a newer year Vett, but not a 2005. - Ron

I can really feel your pain.

I purchased a band new 93 Trans-Am in my early 20s and god I loved that car. But after 6 to 7 years, the car started failing on me miserably. Head lights stopped coming up (motor failed), Trunk would not stay up when opened (suspension failed), Door locks automatic button failed, door remote stopped working, engine performance went down significantly, windows would come down but not up, and on and on. I realized that GM did a real crappy job on the trans-am and finally decided that it was just too much maintenance to keep the car.

I just recently purchased my 02 vette and I'm praying that GM quality has went up. However, I'm bracing myself for things to start failing. Your story doesnt really help my paranoia with GM cars. *keeping my fingers crossed*
Good luck with the Ford.

Toyota rule! Even the Scions are jam-packed for the Gen-y group! (man I wish people give equal respect to all cars (bad or good)!)

aizanvette, if it makes you feel any better I'm one of the few around here who is a big fan of the toyotas, hondas, and mazdas of the world. My last car purchase was a mazda. And before that a honda. And before the vette, an acura. The brother in law just retired a toyota truck with 400K miles on the unrebuilt motor. And only then because he is a doofus and cross-threaded a spark plug.

However, I'm not a fan of the fart cans and big wings, etc. :L

Just remember, this is a vette site and there's a bit of pride around here in things Chevrolet and American :)

I agree...but how many parts in a Corvette are not American made?......Answer=lots....:D

I went through the same thing with the BMW 850csi. I know that BMW makes a lot of good cars but I will never own another one. One day the law suit may be settled, the gag order lifted and I will be able to rant on about a really bad car.
