Goodyear Discontinues F1 Supercar Tires

Unfortunately, there is more bad news on the ZR-1 "parts" front.

Goodyear has discontinued the F1 Supercar tire in both 275/40ZR17 and
315/35ZR17, the front and rear sizes on a ZR-1.

Now, Goodyear currently still catalogs the F1 GS-D3 in those sizes--and
I think two or all three of you, also, have articles about that tire
posted. Goodyear tells me that while there are no GS-D3s in 315/35 in
its inventory right now, its dealer network may have a small supply and it
plans to produce some more in the future.

Thanks for your help on this and thanks for keeping that article up for
the last several years.

Guess I had better go easy on mine......not ... May just have to shop around for a extra set of rears..

I recently was able to get GS-D3 315/35-17's from the Tire Rack. They were out of the fronts, though, and were waiting for Goodyear to crank some out. I found them elsewhere as I didn't want to wait until mid April for them.

Goodyear told me just before I emailed Rob that while the F1 Supercar in C4 sizes has been discontinued, the F1 GS-D3 will continue, however, right at the time, the supply of the fronts was very short.

That said, I may be able to lay my hands on two Supercars in 275/40ZR17, the front size. I'll let you guys know if I can.

Check with some of your local Goodyear dealers, I did and found some still in warehouse's.

Id probably rather have the GSD3 anyway. Who knows.

I have the GSD3's for my summer tire on my daily driver, A very good tire, especially in the rain.
I'm hoping my Vette won't see rain after I'm done with it.
