In view of the proximity to Independence day, I want to point out something about the French. We would not have won the revolutionary war without the French. We would not have the Statue of Liberty without the French.

That was then, this is now.

Okay boys, let's keep this on point: Michelin Tires. We can go bash the French to everyone's content in The Edge Forum. Let's keep this forum for discussions about things like tires for a C5. :)

This is what prompted my comment. But I agree, this is about tires. I have Michelin Pilot Sports on mine.

And when it was pointed out to me that Michelin is a French company, well, that was the final nail in their coffin. :L

I knew someone would bring that comment of mine up. Okay, yes, I said ONE of the reasons I would not buy Michelins is that it's a French company. I also listed OTHER reasons in my post. So, while I'll take a knock for dissing Michelin as a French company and introducing that as a factor in a tire purchasing decision thread, I won't take ownership for steering this into a bash the French thread.

Mind you, I love a good "bash the French" thread as much as the next American, but this isn't the place for it. So before this thread gets hijacked, let's agree to keep it about Goodyears vs. Michelins (and that goes for me, too. :L )

Any thoughts on Yokohama?

I would like to see what the sizes are on the soon to be released ADVAN sport tire. The Neova AD07 and the A048 are not available in the correct Corvette size.

I put Michelins on today replacing the original Goodyears.Great tire, very quiet and ride better.Keep in mind i was one that had a problem with Corp. ownership but Patrick is correct the subject is tires. -Great
