Got my Juice

No the bottle is mounted to 3/4" plywood that is carpeted I never put a hole in the rear hatch except to pull the nitrous line through. I sits very snug and doesn't move a bit. I actually think that it is a stronger mount than if I had tried bolting the bottle to the fiberglass plus there is nowhere to bolt the bottle to the rear hatch and have access the bolts because of fuel tank, lines etc. etc..

cool i'll have to fit everything in and take a look at it and i'm sure i will understand it alittle better looking at it in the car.

Thanks!

Lotsa questions about usage

This might be slightly off topic, but not really.
I don't know if anyone can really give a quantitative answer, but I'll attempt to ask anyways...

On a 10lb bottle, using the 100hp shot, how much do you get before the bottle is empty? Like, how much continuous use do you get?

Or, if it's easier to answer this...
How long does each shot last? And with that number, how many shots do you get before you need to refill the bottle?

What's the average cost to fill a 10lb bottle?

If you set it up as 75HP shot, are you only using 3/4 the amount and thus adding 25% to the length of time it takes to empty a bottle?

using a 100HP shot of nitrous a 10lb bottle will get you about 10, ten second passes. The nitrous isn't being engaged until the 3000 rpm mark so you are probable only on the bottle 9.5 - 10 secs per run. Jetting it for 75HP will obviously get you about 2 more runs out of it.

Its enough N2O to get you through 1 day of eliminations at the strip with a couple of test and tune passes

Hmmm... and what about average cost to refill?

Is your "3000 RPM" switch activated by a throttle position sensor or something else? I'm trying to figure how I'd do this on my carb'd setup. Short of getting a controller that would sit alongside my current digital ignition setup so it's a progressive shot instead of a dump...

The average cost is $3.50 a pound for nitrous so a 10 lb bottle is $35. A window switch can be integrated into an ignition box like mine (the Mallory Hyfire VI) Only when my throttle is at wide open throttle via a microswitch that is rigged to my throttle linkage and the engine rpm is 3000 rpm then the window switch will close the ground and the nitrous will engage. if either of those conditions are not met than the nitrous does not come on.

Greg

I have the MSD window switches available here, along with RPM selector switches (takes the place of the "pills" MSD uses), that you can wire independently of your ignition system, or you can integrate into either a conventional MSD 6 or 7 series ignition as well as the Digital series. You use these with the WOT switch that's in the nitrous kit.

For more info, drop me a PM.. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks, I will likely do that when I have a free moment. I'm always happy to work with Supporting Vendors. :)
