Nothing anymore. It use to be the GS rotors had the hubs painted black. But now that is the only way to get them from GM.GS Diva said:I have a Grand Sport and am curious...what is so different about GS rotors??

I could be mistaken, but I think that's wrong. The GS option included a number of other options, one of which was the J55 heavy duty brake option, that were not standard on all 96's. Without the J55 option, not only were the calipers different but also the mounting brackets and disks. At least that's what the parts manager at Fichtner Chevrolet told me when I called to order my calipers.

You can see this in the Mid America catalog also. They list the HD brake rotor as fitting the 88-96 while the 'standard' rotor fits only the 88-94. The HD rotor became the stock rotor in 95.
The big difference in brakes in 96 seems to be whether you got the GS style calipers or the standard ones. They all used 13" rotors.
