Hi everyone!
I have a 1990 Vette and I am wondering if I have a ground problem.
I have had the thing for 5 years and the turn signals have always caused the voltmeter to jump with each blink. Is this normal?
During the last year I noticed that hitting the brakes at night will cause the head lights to flicker slightly. If I hit the brakes again, it doesn't do it. Also, the backlight on the gauges flickers ever so slightly sometimes. Lately, the headlights won't raise right away. If you turn the lights off and on a couple of times, they will go up. The headlight motor relay was replaced a few years ago so I know that isn't the problem (unless it went bad again).
Could theses all be related? I checked a few of the grounds mentioned in previous posts, but the turn signals still cause a voltage jump.
If this is a ground problem, is there a ground that could be affecting all these things?
Thanks!
Scott
