Hey guys, I did a search on this but, I am still not clear on this. I read that the switch for the wiper on my '74 coupe needs to be grounded to the frame. Does this mean I need to run a separate wire to frame ground or is the switch grounded through one of the three wires in the plug. Also none of my single wire dash bulbs work (all gauges work). Does the center dash also need a aux. ground? Thanks for being here for guys like me.:cool

The center gauge frame is grounded through one of the wires on the back of the gauges. The wiper switch has a lamp in it, that's why it needs a ground. The wiper motor has its own ground at the frame.

The bulbs on my 74 also didn't work when I got the car- corrosion of the socket base contact that touches the center of the light bulb. I cleaned both the socket copper "pin" and the base of the bulbs and they all worked.
