Interesting visitor
Last Friday, I was very pleased to have Bob ( 67 heaven ) over to my humble gee-rage for an afternoon visit. As can be expected, we tried to cover four days of discussions in a matter of four hours, and as a result nothing but a good time was had by both.
I have a few projects going ( more expected ) and there was SO much more we could have covered but sadly, time was an issue with the distance Bob had to travel. Maby some other day we can do this again.
To all who have contributed to this thread, I will personally reply.
oWen, yes, they were on E-bay, but they were scooped up with in 72 hours
Mac, when ever your ready, never any " invites " needed here.
Dave, I don't check pockets, I have two Doberman's who sniff everything out ( Mr. Smith, and Ms Weston ) when people leave.;squint:
studiog, Santa had nothing to do with it. Since I now live alone, all the contents of the garage came in boxes with the label, " To Bob From Bob "
Brian, you and Jane would also have been very welcome
zrgator, sorry, just the regular NOS Original, GM mufflers. Isn't that a Bîtch. ! BTW they have since been sold.
VNV At the rate the build is going, the Corvette will probably not see the sunshine again before the Spring of 07, and that's if I'm lucky enough to have all the time I need for the build.
BTW Mark, I was so impressed by the picture of the underhood wiring you posted a little while back, I have decided to assemble the complete assortement of wiring harnesses that will be needed for this build myself. Check back in a week or so for a picture of all the items that will be needed to make up the harnesses. You won't be disapointed. :ugh
Frank, actually I'm not the one who is far away, my neighbour lives only a few feet from my house. YOU are the one who is a good distance from me
Erik, the only fun I have is with mid-year parts. :ugh
When time permits, I will post some pictures showing how the build ( notice I didn't use the word " Restoration " ) is going. The reason is because this project is a complete build, and not a " resto " of what is to become a very special mid-year. It will be called " Wild One ", and I will be happy to show anyone why, once it's on the road. Those who have seen the parts being used will better understand.
Sadly I don't have the time, nor the skills to set up my web page
www.autoretro.info ( under construction ) like that of 67HEAVEN, so you will have to bare with me during the build. Check for posts titled " this is what I did today "
The following picture shows a few changes I have made to my 63-4-5-6-7 project. What you see is not three tailights on each side, but rather two regular tailights, and a pair of what will be amber turn signals in the center. Wait till you see where the 3" exhaust pipes, and third tailight will be inserted. No guessing I will not admit to anything before they are installed.
