So, I blew 5 seals in less then 6 months. I don't live in Alaska, so it must be something besides a weird sexual fetish. I had the Oil Pan Gasket, The Crank Seal, the Oil filter Adapter seal, The rear main seal, and one I don't recall the name of all went in less then 6 months. My dealer said that it was just time for them to go. My Vette is 9 years old, but I have had older cars that did not have this problem. I am trying to eliminate possible issues. One that comes to mind is my engine cleaner. I have used Engine Bright and Gunk on occasion to clean the engine. Is it possible that these things caused my rubber, seals and gaskets to age prematurely and disintegrate?

How many miles do you have on you vette? Just curious. Have used gunk for years & never had a problem with it damaging anything?:w
